Wig Care Guide
Caring for your fragile lace wig is not difficult. However, it does require routine maintenance for lasting results. Follow these instructions to care and optimize the lifetime and wear of your Lace Unit Wig. Is is very important to keep the hair clean. We suggest that you wash the hair at least once or twice a week with warm or cold water. Please wash the hair immediately after swimming, spa, exercise, and etc. When dirt and sweat accumulate, hair tangles. Too much leave-in conditioners and other hair care products will create a build up on the hair and will cause it to tangle faster. If the hair feels dry or heavy with build up, wash it with good shampoo & conditioner.

Step 1 Wash Preparation |
| Before washing the hair, spray mixture of conditioner and water and brush the hair from bottom up. You must gradually wet the hair down and brush it gently before you completely wash the hair. If the hair is very dry and a lot of water is added at once, hair will swell up like sponge and tangle! Therefore, it is important to gradually wet the hair and brush it. | |
| Step 2 Applying shampoo | |
| Rinse wig in cold water. This is very important, because you do not want heat from the water to cause the cap construction to break down or cause the hair to detach from the cap. Apply the shampoo to the wig. Focus on the forehead area of the wig, which may be heavily soiled. Treat the wig delicately, as you would a delicate garment. Avoid using heavy friction. | |
| Step 3 Rinsing the shampoo | |
| Rinse the shampoo from the wig. Always rinse the shampoo off with water flowing in the same direction of the hair, from roots to the ends. | |
| Step 4 Towel dry the wig | |
After rinsing, human hair wigs should be placed on a flat towel to have the excess water dabbed away. DO NOT brush or comb the wig while it is still wet. Due to the water absorbency, the hair shaft expands and the root knot loosens causing the hair to shed dramatically. |
|
| Step 5 Dry on wig stand | |
Put on wig stand and let it air dry. DO NOT try to speed up the drying process by blow drying, placing under the sunlight, in a clothes dryer, microwave, or any direct heat. This will cause the wig cap to loose integrity and shed small to large amounts of hair. |
How can I prevent my lace wig from shedding?
This information is to help you learn how you can prevent and avoid your lace wig from shedding.
Most important - Keep wig clean.
Second, we advise to STAY AWAY from putting products directly in the hair that contain high levels of alcohol ie. Hair Sprays, Spritz, etc.. As these products can damage the hair and cause shedding or breakage.
Third, you MUST clean all the glue residue off your wig when you remove it. Letting glue or other adhesives build up on your lace will cause shedding.
Fourth, do not scratch your scalp through your unit as this will cause shedding. Instead, pat your head with your head or remove your unit and treat your scalp with an anti-itch shampoo and conditioner and then moisturize your scalp with an oil or hair grease to prevent itching.
Fifth, comb your unit from the tip up, holding the hair above as you comb so that it won't pull on your knots. Use a ventilated wig brush to comb your wig, not a bristle brush.
Sixth, do not comb your wig when its wet. Prior to washing your unit make sure you comb it out thoroughly and that its nice and smooth before you start to wash it.
Seventh, do not Blow Dry or Sit Under a Dryer with heat, you should let your unit air dry. If you must blow dry, make sure it is on the cool setting. Blow Dryer heat will damage/split the knots and cause shedding.
How to apply the full lace wig?
1. Prep your hair, by creating a flat surface for the wig to sit on. You can braid your hair down, or apply a wig liner.
2. Fit the wig on your head, and evaluate how and where you would like the hairline, the goal is to find where the hairline will look most natural.
3. Gradually starting trimming the excess lace, the goal here is to create your hairline, only cut small amounts off at a time.
4. After you have created your hairline, apply adhesive to the hairline, so it can stay on your head.
5. The finished hairline should look totally natural, as if the hair were actually growing from your head.

How to remove the full lace wig?
1. Pull all hair up into a ponytail, so you won’t get adhesive on the hair.
2. Apply the lace adhesive remover to the adhesive around perimeter of hairline.
3. Gradually remove the lace. Be sure not to pull at the lace. Remove slowly. However it's always best to remove the system from back to front. Doing this avoids stretching the front of the hair system.
4. Once you've removed the system gently peel the tape from the base. With the tape removed, use an alcohol-free citrus solvent to remove any adhesive residue.
5. After you have removed the lace, there may be some residue from your skin left on the unit, you should shampoo the unit, and with a towel, delicately scrub the residue away.
6. You should let the unit dry naturally or you can style the unit, how you would normally style your natural hai.
